Brazil sent ground combat troops - the Brazilian Expeditionary Force - aka the "Smoking Cobras" (thanks to Hitler's  comment that Brazil would send troops when "snakes began smoking pipes". )

The division was directly integrated into the command structure of the United States. It fought with bravery and determination in Italy.

Brazil was the only South American country to send an expeditionary to Europe to fight the Axis during WW2. The force of about 20,000 men was entirely equipped by the US. The tanks listed were found in Brazil itself before the US supplied large quantities of equipment.
