Germany - Me 262 and Variants

Me 262 Turboprop Variant

Picture
This version was to be powered with two turboprop DB.021 engines driving six-bladed propellers. The main advantage was the small fuel consumption (compared with the turbojet engines), hence the extended flying endurance. This project dates February 1945. The same power unit was to be installed on the Ar.234 bomber (project of August 1944).
