AEC Mk 1
This armoured command vehicle was built on the excellent AEC Matador chassis. The armoured body had the usual desks seats and radios for four officers and two radio operators. These vehicles were sometime known as the Dorchester after the London Hotel of the same name.
The Australian Army received seven of these in 1943, and were used by the 1st Australian Armoured Division. They were eventually retired in 1955.
